FunZees Medical Card Members are welcome to avail the Counseling Services, we offer a safe place for reflection, personal growth, and healing.  Whether you are looking for guidance on a specific challenge, or a long-term support system, at Hi-Funzs Counseling Services you will always be treated with warmth, compassion, and respect.

 

Need to talk it out? Let experienced counselors help solve personal problems 24/7. Discuss everything from depression, anxiety and stress, to struggles with family, work and substance abuse.

 

• Help with loss, grief, change, transition or abuse

• Access to free, confidential counseling by phone or mails

• Counselors have a master’s degree and at least five years experience to help you

• Counselors follow up and monitor progress until you are satisfied

• When appropriate, you can be referred to local licensed counselors

 

How much are members charged when using the Counseling Services?

 

FunZees Medical Card Members are geting discount from 30% to 50% on usual fee charged to talk to a counselor, and they may use the benefit as often as they like. 

 

What is a 24 hr/day Counseling Service?

 

The telephone counseling service is a program which offers help to members and their immediate family members.  FunZees Medical Card Members are eligible to receive assessment, short-term problem resolution or referrals to address personal problems.  All services are performed over the phone. 

 

Are counseling services just for people in crisis?

 

No. While counseling can certainly help people who are in crisis, the goal is to help FunZees Medical Card Members to address personal problems early in an effort to prevent crisis. The counseling service provides assistance for a wide range of personal matters, such as self-improvement, parenting/family, marital/relationship, workplace issues, depression, anxiety, alcohol/drug abuse, gambling, etc.

 

What if I need help beyond the scope of the Counseling Service?

 

Our counselors can help align the right resources for your problem. The costs of these services are not covered in the program. We can help the member choose which services would be of most help based on the information they provide.

 

Is this service confidential?

 

The Counseling Service is a confidential program that provides telephone access to experienced master-level EAP professionals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These professionals help assess problems and conduct short-term problem resolution for issues impacting work and/or personal life. As required by law, we cannot release information without the member’s signed consent with the exception of emergency situations and to report child abuse.

 

Is there someone I can turn to with questions about my FunZees Medical Member's Counseling Services benefit?

 

Yes.  Simply call the number on the back of your membership card and an experienced staff member can help with any questions or concerns.
